Little Fabia

September 11, 2008: Little Fabia was born. she decided to come into the world 3 weeks early but everything is fine with both her and the rest of our family. Kaia and Hedda are very proud of their little sister, and Ian and I are so happy we got another princess!!

late summer

We have had such a wonderful summer! now, we have just celebrated Heddas birthday. she had a big party with all her friends coming over to have fun!

June-July

Hi everyone!
We have been travelling in Norway this summer, and here are some photos too share. We left Fredrikstad June 23, and spent midsummer with Ians uncle and aunt in Helgeroa, Larvik. It was the perfect start on our holiday!






We joined the beach party with a big fireplace to celebrate midsummer. It was also the night of Ians birthday :-)







We spent a day at Bø Sommarland, and went througt Valle to Stavanger. While in Stavanger we stayed in a very small, very cosy cabin belonging to our good friend Hanne Kjersti.

It was the perfect place to spend our summer holiday. We had a lot of daytrips from the garden where the canbin was located. We spent a day at The Norwegian Oil Museum, Barnemuseet and Jærmuseet - Vitenfabrikken.

On our way back to Østerdalen we drove by Hardangervidda. This photo is taken when we had a stop to see Vøringsfossen, the highest waterfall in Norway.

The last photos are from our days at Mykleby seter, in Østerdalen.

it hasnt been updated for a while - and the reason is the sun!!!! we spend all our time outdoors these days, in the garden or at the beach. hope you´re all well, and I will be back with some summer photos soon.

Hi everyone!
We have just returned from Harstad, where Ian grew up. It was a wonderful trip, even though it snowed every day..... we went from 23 degrees Celsius in Fredrikstad to 3 degrees in Harstad! Norway is a strange country then it comes to the temperature!

I also made a photo of this sweet little "spice wall holder" I found on the kitchen at a lovely little old ladys place. she has the most beautiful kitchen I know, as long as it is possible to get from all modern stuff. mind the wall paper :-)










To morrow it is the 17th May, our constitution day. The girls and I have just finished our special "17th May cake":

finally, spring has come to Fredrikstad.
The sun is shining and we can actually feel it´s warming up :-)
The girls keep themselves busy with riding their bikes and playing with friends between school, homework, dancing classes etc. etc.

Weekend in Trysil

last weekend we went to Trysil to go skiing. The weather was great, lots of snow and we all had a ball!

March

March started with Kaias birthday, she had a big party with a lot of her friends comming over to celebrate her. Even a singing and guitar playing clown showed up on the doorstep! Kaia had a ball, it is a nice day to remember.

Then, both Kaia and Hedda was in a major dance performance taking place in the "Blå Grotte", the culture stage in our city of Fredrikstad. The show was called "The Magic Movement" and I think both the girls and both the parents where just as exited about it :-) they did great, and so did the rest of the young girls participating. In the photo you can see our princesses in their costumes.






Then came Easter. We stayed at home this Easter, and had quite a few hikes and picnics in the woods not far from our house. It was really nice to have time off together, and spending it doing family things.
